Thanks be unto God

Gratitude

A grateful heart turns us toward the Savior. We give thanks for Him, for His Atonement, and for His hand in all things.

Gratitude for the Savior

Turning back to give thanks

When Jesus healed ten lepers, one of them “when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks” (Luke 17:15–16).

Every blessing we have flows from our Heavenly Father and His Son. As a quorum, we want to be like the one who turned back: to notice the Lord’s hand, to thank Him often, and to let gratitude soften our hearts toward one another.

Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world. And behold, I am the light and the life of the world…

3 Nephi 11:10–11

…live in thanksgiving daily, for the many mercies and blessings which he doth bestow upon you.

Alma 34:38

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
